High capacity magazines for the Remington 597

FAQ

Here are the answers to some Frequently Asked Questions

What material is the magazine made from?
The magazine will be made from zinc alloy, so that is doesn't have any of the problems associated with plastic magazines. Specifically the feed lips will not wear out like the ones on plastic magazines.

What is the capacity of these magazines?
The magazines is being designed to have a capacity of 30 rounds.

Will there need to be any modifications to my Remington 597 to use these magazines?
NO. These magazines will fit and function with no modifications to the rifle.

How do I know how much ammunition is left in the magazine?
The holes that are visible on both sides of the magazine show whether 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 rounds of ammunition are left.

Will the last hold open facility still work when using these magazines?
Yes. The last hold open facility will function the same as on the factory magazines.

Is this magazine available for other calibered Remington 597's?
No, not at the moment. I started this magazine design as a personal project for me. I am based in the uK and as such the law only allows .22LR semi automatics.

Will you ship these magazines to other countries other than the UK?
Yes. The Uk has no restrictions on magazines whatsoever. I will send to anywhere as long as you confirm that the magazines are legal where I am sending them.

What will you charge to ship this magazine to my country?
I will only charge what it costs me. The magazines will be delivered to me from the manufacturer in ready to post boxes, so there will be no packaging costs. At present the cost to post one of these to the US is about $10.

These seem very expensive when the rifle in the US only costs $100?
Unfortunately as mentioned, I am doing this as a private individual so the low quantities I am getting them made in dictate that the price will be slightly higher than mass produced items. I am also insisting in using zinc which is a lot more expensive as a raw material than plastic. In the UK, this price is in line with other hi-cap magazines.
