I've designed the spring based on the original spring design.

I've got my first design finished. I've built a prototype out of a resin that isn't as strong as the final metal components will be. As a result it breaks very easily. The way the round of ammunition is fed from the magazine into the chamber is what makes a magazine reliable or not so this is what needs to be perfected. If I can get ammunition to feed withough breaking the delicate prototype it will mean there is no wear on a metal magazine and they won't wear out with use.

I've modified the design where wear is happening in a bid to incrase reliability. I made two different versions so will see which is best.

I've now got a quote from a company to manufacture this magazine

I've received confirmation from the DTI that empty firearms magazines do not need an import licence to bring into the country. This is as a result that teh company I have spoke to about making the magazines has suggested a foreign manufacturer in order to bring the price down.

I've received confirmation from the Inland Revenue of the formation of a 597mag as a company. I've done this now so that the company name is reserved.

I have applied for a patent for the design of the magazine. The patent date was agreed upon as 19 July 2006.

I've put together a basic website to see what the interest would be in this High Capacity magazine.

I've prepared a spreadsheet of costs in order to present my business plan to the bank to assist in funding.

I've been in talks for months with a manufacturer about prices and process.I've made a decision so:
I've now sent off the final CAD data to have a CNC model made to make a final decision on the design.
